We are well aware of the barriers and obstacles many people face in their search for affordable rental housing. DFC will be hosting a panel discussion – a venue to voice ideas and explore possible solutions to address the rental housing crisis.  Speaking on the panel will be;

Creative Writing Group

Tuesday November 27 @ 1pm in the Community Room 

DFC will be hosting its next Expressive Writing Group on Tuesday November 27 @ 1 pm in the Community Room with the ever fabulous Honey Novick

All members are welcome to attend. No experience or background in writing is required! Just be willing share your thoughts and be creative!

We’ll use a different approach to self-expression
We’ll talk and write and share what’s important to us
Each voice is important, each story a tale to tell
We’ll create a safe and fun atmosphere

DFC Thanksgiving Dinner

Sunday October 7, starting at 4:00pm in the Community Room 


The co-op will once again be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner for all members interested in attending. We will handle the meat and potatoes (pun intended) of the event. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to bring other side dishes or deserts to share.

Mingling and cocktails at 4:00pm followed by dinner at 5:00pm. All guests planning to attend are kindly asked to RSVP by Thursday October 4 by contacting.

McMichael Art Gallery Bus Trip

Saturday October 13, 9:30am – 5:00pm 

Whether you want to explore the great hiking trails, visit the quaint town of Kleinburg, take in all the great art of the gallery or all of the above – this is a great chance to get out of town and do something!

We will be leaving the co-op @ 9:30am and returning for 5:00pm. This trip is open to all members young and old. Space on the bus is limited, so reserve your spot ASAP!
