We’ll be handing out reusable recycling totes, clear recycling bags and organic bin liners. We will also a few organic kitchen bins to hand out along with info on our new ORGANIC WASTE PICK UP program! Folks from TEA and the People’s Climate Movement will also be there to talk about our collaborations.

The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy will be sending a truck to the co-op to pick up unwanted and lightly used clothing, bedding, dishes and small kitchen appliances. More information will be available in the main lobby of 85 Bleecker in the coming days or by contacting Ryan Hayward in the co-op office.

DFC has booked some space at the Paint Cabin for a GLOW IN THE DARK paint party! All materials will be provided along with lite refreshments. There is a bar and café at the Paint Cabin where guests can get their own coffee or cocktails. We have space for 15 participants!

If so, please join Professor Megan Boler (Social Justice Education, OISE/University of Toronto) and the Navigating News Research Team: Andrea Vela Alarcon, Kate Jackson, Gordon Katic, Michael Primrose for an informative and thought provoking discussion. The panel provides an overview of the challenges posed by information overload and digital propaganda in the news media environment

Please join us for a screening of Blow Out
John Travolta, in one of his best roles, plays a movie sound effects technician who witnesses a suspicious accident, which turns out be a political assassination. His attempt to get to the bottom of the mystery is the basis for a suspenseful and disturbing American thriller, helmed by master filmmaker Brian De Palma.
The space is not accessible at this time, but we will provide whatever physical assistance we can to get members with limited mobility into the space.
